Digital menu boards for restaurants, bars and pizzerias

ORKESTA puts your menu on TVs and monitors and lets you run it from the cloud: change a price or today's special from your laptop or phone, and every screen updates on its own. Schedule breakfast, lunch and dinner in advance, use the screens you already have, and pay per screen, from €18 a month, with a 14-day free trial.

What goes on your menu board screens

Eight common uses: in the dining room, at the counter and in the window, and in the kitchen and back of house too. You can start with a single screen.

  • Menu board above the counter

Your full menu, with categories and prices, on one or more monitors. Start from a menu template, enter items and prices in the dashboard, and never reprint again.

  • Daily specials

Add today's special or pull a dish that has sold out. The change reaches your screens right away and the rest of the menu stays as it is.

  • Menus by time of day

Breakfast in the morning, lunch at noon, dinner in the evening: set the times and days once and the screen switches by itself.

  • Promotions and happy hour

Happy hour, weekend menu, seasonal product: put the menu template in a playlist alongside images and videos of your offers, and each item plays only during the hours and days it applies.

  • Window and waiting area

A screen facing the street or near the entrance shows your menu and offers to passers-by, to guests waiting for a table and to takeaway customers.

  • Several locations, one account

Screens from every location sit in the same dashboard and you control them from one place: the same menu everywhere, or different dishes and prices for each site.

  • A screen in the kitchen

A digital board for the kitchen team: today's specials, prep lists, notes for the service. You update it from the dashboard like any other content; it isn't linked to the till and doesn't receive orders.

  • Staff notices and rotas

In the back office or the staff room: this week's rota, notices, procedures and reminders for your team. Choose when they appear and take them down when they're no longer needed.

QR code or screen? A quick comparison

A QR menu on the table opens the menu on the guest's phone. A screen does a different job: everyone sees it, no phone needed. ORKESTA handles the screens; if you want a QR menu as well, pair it with a separate service.

What mattersQR menu on the phoneMenu on a screen
Who sees itOne guest at a time, after scanning the code.Everyone inside the venue or walking past.
Where it works bestAt the table, to browse a long menu at leisure. At the counter, in the queue, at the entrance: wherever people choose in seconds.
What you needA printed code and an online menu; guests use their own phone.A monitor or TV, a media player if the TV isn't supported, and a subscription.
Upfront costLow: free services exist. The screen, plus the fee: with ORKESTA from €18 per screen per month.
Photos and promotionsAvailable, but only to guests who open the menu.Seen without asking anything of the guest, and they can rotate.
Switching by time of dayDepends on the QR service you use.Automatic: breakfast, lunch and dinner scheduled in advance.

A QR code is enough if you have table service, a long menu to browse and no spot where guests order standing up.

A screen helps if guests order at the counter, if dishes and prices change often, or if you want to push an offer to people already inside or walking past your window.

How it works, in four steps

All you need is a screen, a connection and an account. The full list of tools is on the Features page.

  • Connect the screen

Launch ORKESTA on the screen and pair it with your account using the QR code or an 8-digit PIN. It works the same way on every platform.

  • Build your menu

Pick a menu template and add items, prices and categories. Upload photos and videos to the media library.

  • Arrange and schedule

Put the menu in a playlist with images, videos and other templates, then decide what plays and when: lunch, dinner, weekend offers, on one screen or on all of them.

  • Update and check remotely

Change a price from your phone and see whether every screen is online. If the connection drops, the screen keeps showing the last content it received.

What it costs

You pay a monthly fee for each connected screen; the screen itself isn't included. Every figure is the final price, no VAT added (Italian flat-rate tax scheme). Even the Basic plan includes templates, scheduling and remote monitoring.

  • Basic: €18 per screen per month, up to 5 screens
  • Pro: €32 per screen per month, up to 10 screens, with multiple users and widgets
  • Enterprise: €45 per screen per month, for chains and franchises with 15 or more screens

Annual billing saves 20%. For example, a bar with one monitor above the counter and one in the window, on the Basic plan, pays €36 a month, or €28.80 a month billed annually. You start with a 14-day free trial; plans and the price configurator are on the Pricing page.

Digital menu board FAQ

  • Yes, if it's a Samsung smart TV from 2018 or an LG from 2016. Otherwise all you need is an HDMI input to plug in a supported device, such as a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box.

  • No. The screen keeps showing the last content it received. Changes made in the meantime arrive once it's back online.

  • Yes. Give each piece of content its own times and days, for example breakfast until 11am, lunch until 3pm and dinner from 7pm, and the screen moves from one to the next on its own.

  • It depends on how you work. At the table, a menu guests can browse, on paper or via QR, is still handy; a screen does more where people choose in seconds, at the counter, in the queue or in the window. ORKESTA doesn't offer a QR menu for phones: if you need one, pair it with a separate service.

  • On the Basic plan, €36 a month billed monthly, or €28.80 a month billed annually. That's the final price, no VAT added (Italian flat-rate tax scheme). The screen and any device you plug into it are extra.

  • Yes. All screens sit in the same dashboard: the same menu everywhere or different prices for each site. On the Pro plan you can invite other people with different roles (owner, admin, editor, viewer).

  • Yes, there's a 14-day free trial: connect a screen, build your menu and see how it works in your venue before you choose a plan.
