Hotel digital signage for lobbies, meeting rooms and restaurants

ORKESTA puts guest information on your hotel's screens: welcome messages, breakfast, spa and shuttle times, today's events, the meeting room schedule. Update it from your laptop or phone, schedule it with a start and an end date, and the screens at every property update on their own. It doesn't connect to your hotel software: you prepare the content. You pay per screen, from €18 a month, with a 14-day free trial.

What to show on your hotel screens

Eight common uses for hotels, resorts, country inns and groups with several properties. For the menu in your hotel restaurant or bar, see our Restaurants page.

  • Welcome in the lobby

A message for an arriving group, wedding guests or conference delegates. Write it in the Welcome Board template, give it the dates of the stay and it only appears on those days.

  • Services and hours

Breakfast, spa, pool, gym, shuttle, check-out: the times your front desk repeats every day, always up to date. If the pool hours change, you edit them once, for example in the hotel services template.

  • Events and meeting rooms

The day's programme, the event name outside each room, breaks and sponsors. Prepare it all in advance and update it from the dashboard during the event; you enter the room bookings yourself.

  • Guests from many countries

A playlist rotates the same information in Italian, English and your guests' languages. Each version is a separate piece of content: you choose the languages and the order.

  • Restaurant, bar and offers

Tonight's dinner, drinks on the terrace, this week's spa treatment: offers that play only during the hours and days they apply. For breakfast and happy hour there are ready-made templates in the Food & Beverage category.

  • The town and the area

Excursions, museums, markets, getting into town: information you prepare once and change with the season, instead of sheets of paper at the front desk. From the Pro plan you can add the weather widget, which updates itself.

  • Notices for staff

In the back office, the kitchen or the changing rooms: rotas, group arrivals, procedures. Assign them only to screens in staff-only areas, away from the ones guests see.

  • Several properties, one account

Screens from every hotel in the group sit in the same dashboard: shared campaigns everywhere, different hours and events for each property. See from one place whether each screen is online.

Printed signs or lobby screens? A quick comparison

Easels outside meeting rooms, signs at reception and leaflets in the rooms all work. Screens pay off when information changes often: events, opening hours, arriving groups.

Signs are enough for a small property with few events and information that rarely changes.

Screens help if you host groups, conferences and weddings, if your guests speak many languages, or if you run several properties from one place.

How it works, in four steps

All you need is a screen, a connection and an account. Every tool is listed on the Features page. If you need something ORKESTA doesn't do, such as a link to your hotel software, Sygnaptica can build it for you: see Services.

  • Connect the screen

Launch ORKESTA on the lobby or meeting room screen and pair it with your account using the QR code or an 8-digit PIN. It works the same way on every platform.

  • Prepare your content

Start from a template in the Hotel category, such as Welcome Board, and write your opening hours, welcome messages and programmes. Upload photos of the property and videos to the media library.

  • Arrange and schedule

Put your content in a playlist and decide when it plays: breakfast only in the morning, the conference only on the days of the event, on one screen or on all of them.

  • Update and check remotely

Change a room from your phone and see whether every screen is online, at every property. If the connection drops, the screen keeps showing the last content it received.

Which screens it runs on

ORKESTA runs on 9 platforms and needs no ORKESTA hardware: use the smart TV or monitor already in your lobby, or plug in a supported device. The platform is optimised for Fire TV. Not sure about your model, or which screen to buy? Sygnaptica can recommend the right one and, on request, install and set it up: get in touch.

  • Samsung smart TVs (Tizen) from 2018, installed via URL
  • LG smart TVs (webOS) from 2016, with a native app
  • Android 8+ tablets and devices
  • Android TV smart TVs and dongles
  • Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube
  • BrightSign professional players
  • Raspberry Pi 3, 4 and 5 with Chromium
  • Chromebooks and Chromeboxes (ChromeOS)
  • Any modern web browser

What it costs

You pay a monthly fee for each connected screen: it covers the software, the screen itself isn't included. Every figure is the final price, no VAT added (Italian flat-rate tax scheme). Even the Basic plan includes templates, scheduling and remote monitoring.

  • Basic: €18 per screen per month, up to 5 screens
  • Pro: €32 per screen per month, up to 10 screens, with multiple users and widgets
  • Enterprise: €45 per screen per month, for hotel groups and chains with 15 or more screens

Annual billing saves 20%. For example, a hotel with one screen in the lobby and one outside the meeting room, on the Basic plan, pays €36 a month, or €28.80 a month billed annually. You start with a 14-day free trial; plans and the price configurator are on the Pricing page.

Hotel digital signage FAQ

  • No. ORKESTA doesn't connect to property management systems (PMS), booking engines or channel managers: you prepare the content in the dashboard. If you want, for example, the names of arriving groups taken from your PMS, Sygnaptica can build that link for you: see custom development in the Services section.

  • Yes. Prepare one piece of content per language and put them in the same playlist: they rotate on screen for as long as you decide. You write the text in each language.

  • Yes. Edit the content in the dashboard, from your phone too, and the screen outside the room updates as soon as it's online. The rest of the playlist stays as it is.

  • Yes, if it's a Samsung smart TV from 2018 or an LG from 2016. Otherwise all you need is an HDMI input to plug in a supported device, such as a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box.

  • The screen keeps showing the last content it received. Changes made in the meantime arrive once it's back online.

  • Yes. All screens sit in the same dashboard: the same campaigns everywhere, different hours and events for each property. From the Pro plan you can invite other people with a role (admin, editor or viewer) and create a venue, a separate workspace, for each hotel: the front desk at each property, invited only to its own, sees and updates only its screens.

  • On the Basic plan, €36 a month billed monthly, or €28.80 a month billed annually. That's the final price, no VAT added (Italian flat-rate tax scheme). The screen and any device you plug into it are extra.

  • Yes, there's a 14-day free trial: connect a screen in the lobby, prepare your first slides and see how guests read them before you choose a plan.
